Instagramable Spots in Idaho!
Stanley, Idaho is a photographer’s dream! Whether you are a professional photographer or a beginner with only your phone, the Sawtooth Valley offers incredible views and locations for photos. Stanley, Idaho is one of the most Instagrammable spots in the west. Here are a few of our favorite locations to go out and take some photos, whether you are alone or bringing your friends for a photo shoot in Idaho.

Downtown Stanley, ID:
Downtown Stanley, ID is full of charm, character and personality. There are many western and rustic buildings that provide great backdrops for photos, but the real reason downtown Stanley is such an Instagrammable gem is the amazing views of the Sawtooth Mountains hugged by green pastures and lodgepole pines. The Sawtooth Pioneer Park is a great location to take photos during the early morning hours, or if you are looking for a place to take photos of the night sky, the park is a great place to see the Milky Way and enjoy a night in North America’s first International Dark Sky Reserve.
Redfish Lake Lodge:
We will let the pictures speak for themselves here, but Redfish Lake and the surrounding area is truly one of the most beautiful places on the planet, making it difficult to not get a good picture. Get out on a SUP, kayak or canoe, or take the hiker boat shuttle across the lake to be dropped off in the pristine Sawtooth National Forest right under the famous Gates of Heaven. Hike back to the Lodge for some delicious treats and drinks from the Lakeside Grill, Limbert’s and the Rustic Lounge.
Our Cabins:
Triangle C Cabins has gorgeous views of the Sawtooth Mountains, and the grounds and atmosphere make for the perfect Instagram backdrop. Between the bistro lighted porches, log cabin walls, and beautiful lawn area, there are many places to take photos. Check out some of our favorite pictures taken at the cabins!
The Sawtooth National Forest:
The Sawtooth Mountains are a hiker’s paradise, and with so many great places to choose from, you will be sure to find amazing options at either a high alpine lake or peak to take some amazing photos at. Grab a map and some good hiking shoes and hit the trail! While the Sawtooths are all on public land, it doesn’t hurt to be mindful of what you post, and even if you do tag your location, be sure to promote good stewardship principles like staying on trails, and packing out what you pack in. Remember that drones are not allowed to fly in the wilderness areas of the Sawtooths.
