Snowmobile Rentals in Stanley, ID
Rent a snowmobile in Stanley, ID!
During your winter stay at Triangle C Cabins we hope that you are able to get outside and enjoy the magic of the Sawtooths in the winter! For those of you looking to do this on your own two feet you can rent a fat bike, rent snowshoes, or hike into Redfish on the groomed trail, but for those who want to go further and faster the best ways to see Stanley Lake and Redfish Lake in the winter is by renting a snowmobile with Sawtooth Traxx, located just three “city” blocks from Triangle C Cabin one hour from Sun Valley, ID.
(as an additional FYI- Sawtooth Traxx also rent ATV’s in the summertime.)
Where you can ride:
During your snowmobile rental in Stanley, ID, you can ride to so many great destinations, with great views all along the way, right from Stanley! We love to ride out to Redfish Lake in the winter and to see the lake frozen over. The lodge is closed, but you can walk out on the Redfish Docks and see incredible views of the lake and the Sawtooths. We also love to ride out to Stanley Lake which travels out through the foothills of Stanley also called Nip and Tuck. This is a beautiful ride that is a little bit longer! Check with the folks at Sawtooth Traxx for trail conditions and maps!
What to bring:
Sawtooth Traxx will provide a helmet and a free tank of gas as part of your rental. You will want to bring good snow clothes! You will need boots, pants, jacket, gloves and face protection, remember the power of layering! Also bring water, snacks and a phone or camera! Phones also can be used in emergency situations and as maps. Conditions can change quickly so be sure to check the weather and talk with Sawtooth Traxx to make sure that you are properly prepared for your adventure outside on a snowmobile.
What to do after your ride:
After your ride there are many great places to eat and enjoy good drinks! The Stanley High Country Inn provides brunch from 8am-12pm Thursday- Sunday. For dinner, we love Papa Brunees, the Stanley Supper Club and Mountain Village Resort! Check ahead with each establishment for their winter hours. After you are all fueled up, head back to your cozy cabin at Triangle C Cabins and enjoy an evening roasting s’mores and enjoying time reading a book, playing games or watching a movie with loved ones.
