Hiking

Mountain Biking

Then, get to exploring the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. Bikes are not permitted in the designated wilderness areas, but there are some great spots for you to ride around. Climbing
Idaho has a history of volcanic and tectonic activity, so it has great rock formations. Climbers travel to the Sawtooth National Recreation Area from all over the world to experience the climbing opportunities! Williams Peak is one of the most accessible climbs in the area. Just 5.5 miles southwest of Stanley, you can choose from challenging scrambling or a classic alpine climb.
